Just 8 years ago in 2012, Gabriel Lee killed Elsie Lie because he thought she was the devil.
It was a whirlwind romance and they quickly moved in together. It started with Gabriel believing that the flat that they lived in was haunted and escalated to him believing that his then-girlfriend was possessed. He brought Elsie to a church for an exorcism and made her carry around a bible.
Gabriel was also diagnosed with psychosis.
He killed her just days after proposing on a romantic trip to Genting Highlands. He had tried decapitating her with pruning shears, scissor, a rotary can opener and a hammer. He had also cut off her right foot. Gabriel gouged out her eyeballs. He threw them out of the window from their rented room where they landed in a grass patch at the foot of Block 663, Jurong West Street 65...
