Boonpeng Heep Lek was a monk.
But he was far from the traditional image of a humble, religious monk - he lacked kindness and piety, and indulged in vices such as gambling and womanizing.
Boonpeng was a gambler, a womanizer, and possibly Thailand's first serial killer (though it was never proven).
The discovery of one body in an iron chest and then another raises the haunting question: were there more victims of Boonpeng Heep Lek, possibly Thailand's first serial killer...?
